Because in Belgium, dozens of people die each year due to house fires. And that's dozens of victims too many.
Moreover, in many cases, a fire can be prevented by knowing where the fire risks are in the house and minimizing them. If a fire does break out, many lives can be saved through the prompt alert from smoke detectors and by executing a practiced escape plan.
This video was framed within the prevention service to make people aware of fire hazards and how to prevent them. Throughout the video, it covered how fire starts, how to leave your house in time via an escape plan and how best to handle smoke detectors.
